Story of Siti Nurvaya
Siti Nurbaya is the son of His Majesty Sulaiman, a wealthy merchant, while Samsul Bahri is the son of Penghulu Sutan Mahmud. They have been friends since childhood because they are both Padang people who live next door. When they grew up, they fell in love so they were both lonely and longed for compilation to be separated because Samsul Bahri went to school in Jakarta.
Seeing the success of His Majesty, Datuk Maringgih was jealous and then told his men to destroy His Majesty's wealth. His Majesty fell into poverty so he could not pay his debt to the grandfather Maringgih.
Datuk Maringgih denied that he would imprison the king if he did not pay the debt. Or as a substitute, it must be given to Siti Nurbaya to be married.
